Best Workout Ever!!
I used to workout at CrossFit gyms in Ann Arbor and got tired of the level of “motivation” the trainers used (screaming in our faces, unhealthy competition to do just one more rep) I *love* this gym. Not only do I have a commited group of people who show up regularly to the 6am class, but Ivan and Joe and the other trainers are motivational without shouting. I’ve lost 3% body fat since coming in August and find myself ready to get out of bed at 5:30am because I know that it’s helping me be a healthier and fitter me. Thank you so much, Pryde. . . You’re the best.

So, like the rest of my Pryde Family, I have been super excited to share my results with everyone. I’ve just been super busy at work! The last 12 weeks of my life I have learned that I am a stronger person then I ever thought I was. I have made new friends who feel more like family. I have pushed myself to be a better, healthier person. I have set goals and surpassed them!! I owe a huge THANK YOU to Ivan, Joe and Kristen for pushing me and having faith in me when I didn’t have it in myself. You guys are all amazing people!! Thank You!!So that being said, I weighed in and got measured this morning….. Currently I am down 43 pounds, over 10 inches in my waist, 3 inches in my arm and 4.5 inches in my leg.

I feel absolutely amazing and continuing my journey by participating in the current 10 week challenge!!

Today was the end of the 12 week challenge at Pryde. And I have to say I am so proud of all that I have accomplished in these last 12 weeks. I’ve lost almost 20 pounds, 7 inches off my waist, 2 inches off my upper arms and 4 inches off my thighs but I have to say what I am most proud of is what changed on the inside. I have found a strength in myself, both physically & mentally that I never knew was there. These last 12 weeks have literally changed my life and I have to thank Ivan Ankwatsa & the whole Pryde family for all the support & encouragement every single week. Can’t wait to see what the next 10 weeks has in store for us.

Today I weighed in & was measured for the end of my first 12 week challenge at Pryde Athletics LLC.. Most people may post a ‘before’ and ‘after’ photo to show their progress and commitment, but for me, the big changes are on the inside. Although losing 13 pounds, 9 inches in my waist, 3.5 inches in my legs and 2.5 inches in my arms feels great, there is nothing that feels greater than the new found excitement I have for health and fitness. Becoming a part of the Pryde Family has shown me that working out is not about looks or who can use the heaviest weights, but it’s about finding that person deep inside of you who motivates you to become a better person both inside and out. Luckily for me, I don’t just have that person inside of me, but I am surrounded by so many other people that have the same mindset. I need to thank Ivan Ankwatsa and Joe Martenka (Pryde Athletics Trainers) – without you there to motivate and push me both mentally and physically, I would not have kept up with this program. You both are truly making a difference in my life and I know a lot of others like me would agree. Finally, I need to thank the Pryde Family. I don’t have enough space to name you all individually, but I can’t tell you how much I look forward to seeing you all at Pryde. It doesn’t matter what happens before or after class, I know I am always going to leave with a smile on my face. Watching you all progress in your journeys has motivated me more than you know. I am so proud of everyone that has made the commitment to themselves and their loved ones to get healthy and stay fit, and I can’t wait to see where the next 10 week challenge will take us. For those of you who may be afraid to take that first step and commit to a healthy lifestyle, I speak from experience when I say I’ve been there, and for once I can tell you that the grass is 100% greener (and maybe a little bit more sweaty) on the other side.

I attend the boot camp sessions and have attended Power Yoga. The trainers are friendly and meet you at your level. They obviously push you to work hard, but not intimidating at all. The main focus is on technique. Starting to see results with my conditioning. Great group of people to work out with. Also have my teenage boys weight lifting. Great family atmosphere.

I have been working out in gyms for over 20 years and Pryde Athletics is by far the best experience I have ever had. Ivan and his staff not only care about your work out but also make it fun and rewarding to want to keep coming back! I have done the Boot Camp classes to stay in shape but the strengthening class I did this summer really took me to the next level. Joe made me push myself to a level I thought I couldn’t obtain!! I ran my 1st Half Marathon in 2014 and after working out at Pryde for a year I improved my endurance and took 13 minutes off my time for the Half Marathon I ran in 2015!!! Thank you all for helping me to stay in shape!!
